The Almighty Call To Action

Listen Up. Advertising is a necessity in any business. The unfortunate truth is that many business owners go into business under-funded. In other words they don’t have enough money to be in business in the first place. That being said, what you see is people going into business such as insurance, real estate, mortgages, or some other field thinking they can rely on friends and family to support their new venture.

If it were 1965 I would say “go for it” word of mouth alone will get you there. NEWS FLASH. It’s 2015 and there are 7 Billion people on this planet and over 350 Million in the U.S. Competition is more fierce than it’s ever been. You WILL FAIL if you do not market. Today you can’t just market you need to be an EXPERT when it comes to marketing. The biggest value is obviously social media.

Face Book is the obvious champ when it comes to ROI. Let me quickly tell you that “Boosting” your post on your business page with 150 likes or the fake 5,000 likes you have isn’t going to work either. There are very specific strategies that you need to learn if you are going to be effective in the world of social media advertising. Writing effective copy is perhaps the most effective. Part of effective copy writing is to know that you must have a clear and direct call to action.

Face Book does everything they can to make it easier for it’s advertisers to be more effective. Part of that is the new Call To Action feature on both video ads as well as click to website campaigns. Here is an snap shot of what you can expect with the new feature:

Pages are an important destination for people on Facebook, and we’re building new ways for people to interact with businesses through them. Today, we’re announcing a new call-to-action feature that will help Pages drive business objectives.
Designed to bring a business’s most important objective to the forefront of its Facebook presence, call-to-action buttons link to any destination on or off Facebook that aligns with a business’s goals.

Page admins can select from a group of call-to-action buttons — like Shop Now or Sign Up — to add to the top of their Page. The seven calls to action available are:
  • Book Now
  • Contact Us
  • Use App
  • Play Game
  • Shop Now
  • Sign Up
  • Watch Video

When you have the specific call to action it helps make it more clear to the prospect what you want them to do. If you don’t tell them what action to take surprisingly enough they won’t know if you want them to CLICK, SIGN UP, DOWNLOAD, ect..
