Do You Need a Proven Insurance Marketing Plan?

Closers Don’t Take Breaks

Okay Closers I wanted to talk to you about taking breaks. There is a very simple way to make sure you don’t fall into the ever so prominent cycle among sales people of peaks and valleys in your pay checks. The quickest way to finding deep valleys AKA sales slumps is to let off the gas too soon. I am fully aware of burn-out, work-life balance and everything else that HR managers want to talk to you about. I also know that when you are starting out or trying to kick things into high gear you CANNOT take a break until you are absolutely sure you have filled that pipeline so full it has become a well oiled machine that wont stop.

If you have a goal of making $10,000 a month then you have to grind non-stop until your business will produce $10,000 even when you are not there. You can’t just grind until you have a $10,000 month (which is what most sales people will do). You see most people say they want to make $10,000 a month and as soon as they hit that they go on vacation, hit the breaks, stop to smell the roses or whatever else they decide to do. Guess what happens next month? They slip and then they wide up back in that vicious cycle of playing catch up. I want to suggest that you set your goal and hit that goal 3-4 times in a row THEN you have EARNED A BREAK. Then when you take your break you don’t have to worry about slipping because you have been at it so long and so hard that pipeline is overflowing.

If you want to take breaks then you need to get an 8-5 desk job pushing papers, if you want to make money then you have to be willing to put in the work. You have to be willing to sacrifice things that may be more fun than grinding it out at work, you may have to work a 14-16 hour day, and IF you do I PROMISE YOU that you will have the results that others will not. Look around you and I bet you will find that those who make it look easy only do so because you were not there while they built that well oiled machine. Success doesn’t come easy you have to be willing to pay a price that 99% of people will not pay.
